i got my XFX 8800 GT 512mb today and i was just wanting to see how it performed against other peoples 8800 GTs.

i havent overclocked it yet and it gets these results on max settings:


Battlefield 2- Avg: 87.400 - Min: 85 - Max: 91

Halo- Avg: 432.400 - Min: 354 - Max: 524

Quake 3 Arena- Avg: 89.600 - Min: 84 - Max: 92


how do other ppl with the 8800 GT compare?

ill bother getting some new games soon haha
 
I don't have any frames per second data but just playing (yea I know) Crysis from my new XFX 670 core 8800gt and comparing it to my old 8800gts 320mb not that big of a difference This is with a c2d6750 @ 3.02ghz 2gb mushkin 6400 at 900 mhz
4-5-5-13 Timings with a few things very high shaders medium post proccesing medium 1240 1020 res and it gets a whole lot hotter and the fan is 10x louder than the gts at 100 % being equal. I will probably be ordering the new gts I like the double slot cooler and I still have room for sli if I wish. I just wantd to be as in detail as I could since I didn't have any fps data but my 3dmark06 score was 1300 points higher but as far as true game play not a big difference.
 
ok well i just tried to run 3ds mark and i got this error

any idea as to how i can fix it?

i know. it seems to work so hard now.... it used to be 30-40*C but now it runs at like 56 ... not when gaming, just normally....

i dont understand why

i doubt it. well i wouldnt be able to tell the difference.

but yeah, fraps measured that many fps
 
Well have you uninstalled and re-installed 3DMark06? You may need to re-download it because your installation may be corrupt.
