Of course :)

i just realized that when i ran that benchmark the clock speed was 576/900 wtf lol is the bandwidth x2 or something cuz i sweear it is suppose to be 1800mhz lol

Yes, most programs show the actual RAM speed, which is 900. But since it's double data rate (ddr), it's multiplied to give you 1800mhz effectively. Just like DDR400 runs at 200Mhz.

Your 939 will probably bottleneck the GTS. Getting a GTX is worthless and throwing money away. You really need to be preparing for an upgrade of your whole system soon - CPU, Motherboard, RAM, Graphics.

you really think my fx-60 would bottleneck the gts? if that's the case, what would be the best card for my setup, possibly a 7900 or a 7950? if i'm not gonna see a difference from a 7950 to a 8800 because of a bottleneck issue, please let me know.

Let me point out something plain and simply: getting a GTX is in no way throwing money away. While to a certain degree Saurian IS right, it's minimal, at least for now.

Your card now isn't that great; getting the 8800GTX will (hypothetically) bring your gameplay from 40FPS to 70FPS. Sure, while having an LGA 775-based system would yield higher gains, it isn't enough to call an upgrade to an 8800GTX a waste. Wahoo! 10FPS more because you have a better CPU. The gains are still worth it.

If you get the 8800GTX, you're going to notice a substantial difference in games. The best part, however, is when you do upgrade, it's going to be like upgrading all over again!

with this new board being called an 'overclocker's dream', i shall be pushing it to new heights.

beyond: how much of a difference would i see between the gts and the gtx? i won't be upgrading to vista for a while, i'm just looking for a performance increase. when that increase becomes less noticeable, i'll get a second card.

if there isn't that much difference, i can use the money i save to water cool my setup, so i can push my fx-60 even further. would overclocking my cpu with liquid cooling and an 8800gts be better than air cooling (but still overclocking, only not as high of course) and an 8800gtx?

No.. it wont be a bottleneck.. perhaps an SLI setup would be, but not a single card. ;)

you can always OC your fx 60 :)

can? =o you pay a lot more for an FX60 just for the unlocked multiplier.. It basicly screams 'overclock me!' :)
