8800 SLI or 3870 crossfire.

From everything i have compared my crossfire setup too. Mine compares the closest to 8800GTS (G92) in SLI. I hear the new 9 series is suppose to scale better than the 8 series, finally.

You guys do know that when you run two cards in SLI, no matter what a single card of which is a model higher would achieve better performance.

So why don't you grab a 9600GT?

Lol. Sorry I have nothing to say about ATI cards, as I have next to no exp with them.

Tuffie.

The 9600GT is not better then the 8800 series...

Two 8800gt's in SLI will smoke the 9600gt, heck, a single 8800gt still beats a 9600gt.

like everyone else has been saying an 8800 series card will beat a 9600gt and easily with SLI, i mean god, im not even a computer boff and i still know this stuff

maroon, thats the 3870X2, not the two 3870's. Crossfire 3870's outperform the X2 in almost every case.

SLI has improved over the 9 series, but the 8 series scaling is still not so good.

Here you go.

Not to mention, with crossfire your not limited to a poor nvidia chipset. If you overclock like most of us do, the 3870's in crossfire will be the biggest performer.
