Im confused on what to do. Spend $300 on a 7950 (or something around that) or spend upwards of 500$ on a 8800...

Im asking is it worth the extra 200 because i don't have that much money, but if its a huge difference than I'd definitally think about it.

Thanks

Your Athlon xp 3000+ is not powerful enough to play the latest on high settings. So, I think you should upgrade you CPU before upgrading your video card

i think you'll have to settle with a 7600GS on AGP or so ( could get a better one,.. but those are not very cost efficient anymore) and save the other money for a new pc next year or so :)

yeah i know the xp isn't that powerful. I am getting an e6600 thanks. haha. with all disses on my current computer could you tell me if its worth it or not.

thanks

The 8800 series is a 10/10, compared to the 7900's 6/10 or so. In addition to running DX9 games great, you will be able to run future DX10 games. In otherwords, it is a big upgrade, with no small cost, but it is worth it.

I wonder how long it will take to have the prices drop. $500 is alot of money. I'm still shocked at the price. Probably because I'm still new to the prices of new technology. I'm still new to the whole computer world :(
