8800GT 1gb vs 8800GTS 512mb with monitor 24"

Hi, my question is what will be better 8800GT 1gb or 8800GTS 512mb with monitor 24" 1920x1200, I'm thinking to buy 8800GTS has a 128 Vertex Shader, but 512mb memory is it enough. ?

well as far as i know... 256 mb is just enough to run 1280x1024.... so yeah. 512 should be enough...

Actually not really. The memory is for textures mostly. The more memory you have, the more detailed and larger the textures can be. Case in point, Quake 4.. Which reminds me, I should load that up and try it with this GTX. I'd like to max the game out and see what it plays like.
