8800gt or 8800gts or hd3870

Which is a better card to get? There doesn't seem to have benchmark to compare the 8800gt and hd3870.
Games that I want to play are crysis, world in conflict and with decent fps of 50 and more on medium settings.
 
The 8800GT performs better than the 3870 and the old GTS perform worse than the 8800GT but the new G92 GTS is supposed to outperform the 8800GT
 
Low buget but wants performance = HD3870

Bigger budget = 8800GT

A idiot who didn't reseach and typed in 8800 = 8800GTS

No offense but I think very likely you may be wrong and I maybe right.
2 reasons:

-Its was stated that the 8800gts will ocuppy 2 slots slot.
-If you carefully look through the list from http://www.giga-byte.com/Products/VGA/Products_List.aspx?VenderType=NVIDIA&BUSType=PCI-E&BUSSpeed=16 , it was stated "new" besides the 8800gts.

I am not trying to pinpoint to you about who's right but rather wanted to know the provided link is the new 8800GTS G92 graphic card.

The old and new GTS uses two slots...

If you carefully look through the list from http://www.giga-byte.com/Products/VG...-E&BUSSpeed=16 , it was stated "new" besides the 8800gts.

It also says new next to the GTX and Ultra and they aren't new, nor have there been any new ones released...

HAHA, only an idiot would say 'a idiot'

And the first link is not the new 8800GTS i dont think because it is listed as only having 96 stream processors and a 90 NM technology, the G92 feature over 100 (112 i think) stream proessors and i think its 65 NM that they will be (or lower , i forget)

Remember to take into account how much of a boost the 2900's got from revised drivers. Hopefully the same happens with the 3870, plus 3870's have a big OC range on stock cooling with a lower power requirement and lower price.

Both are great cards, I would wait and see when new drivers come out if your really sketchy about which to get, personally I'm grabbing a 3870 within a week for myself because the power reqs and price, not to mention ATI never did me wrong. Good luck with the choice /thumb
