When it says DDR3 on the graphics cards does my motherboard have to support DDR3 or just have the PCI E 2.0 slot ? i think i know this answer but i been using radeon cards the past year.

DDR3 memory on graphics card have absolutely no relationship between your motherboard nor your PCI-E slot.

It doesnt give you the same performance. It is slightly lower (1-10 frames) maybe more.

But it scales better.

and GFX memory can be any type, it doesnt matter. The new ATIs are using GDDR5
