8800GT or GTS?

well... I've been thinking about, well, replacing my 7800GTX's with either 1 or 2 8800's. I've had my eye on the MSI cards so far, because for some reason they are 20 euro's cheaper than the rest over here. (and I do know MSI isnt really a crappy brand or so, at least, not to my knowing)
either way, does anyone know a good review of the performance difference of these 2 cards
with the GTS I mean the G92 based 512Mb version, and ofc with the GT i mean the 512Mb version too.

the price difference between GT and GTS is 25 euro's at the moment, and obviously I gues the GTS is supposed to be faster, I couldnt find a good site/review of what exacly the difference is :x

well, BF2 did play maxed out on a 6800GT already tough :) thanks for the input nevertheless. I actually havn't heard a bad word about the GT so far.. but i've heard nothing about the GTS yet... except that it does exsist (or will do pretty soon )

I have the 8800GT and its great.

I haven't tested its max capacity, but BF2 maxed out and everything.

That doesnt say much when I can max out battlefield 2 when I had my 7600GT. Try maxing out crysis then you will be testing the card to its fullest potential.

The GTS is better than the GT i read on the nvida site that the GTS (512M) gets more FPS than the GTX now im not saying the GT is a bad card it is a GREAT card im on a toss up between the GT and the GTS like u
good luck

If you go to Tom's Hardware they did a huge write up on video cards. The 8800 GTS 512mb edition outperformed the GTX in almost all games. And it outperforms the GT which was behind hte GTX. So in order for performance right now its GTS 512 > GTX 768 mb > GT 512 mb. For the cost I think the GT is the cheapest followed by the GTS and the GTX is the most expensive so why anyone would by a GTX I don't know anymore. The difference between the GT and the GTS is small but if you want the best performance go with the GTS, but for a little bit cheaper the GT is just as good. The article can be found here http://www.tomshardware.com/2007/12/12/geforce_8800_gts_512_mb/

I mainly went with the GTS because:
-It came out on my Birthday
-GT's weren't even in stock
-Dual slot was needed. (Was looking at old GTS even before GT's came out.

On newegg, all GTS's are in stock still. And only $30 more than the top clocked GT.

Ive got mine at 750/1050 right now, plays crysis high at 1280x1024 at 20-30fps. (Crappy ram in my rig though.
