8800GT series prices falling or rising?

I'm looking to buy an 8800GT 512MB card. It's apparent that because of the rush as everyone knows prices have gone nuts. But, does anyone know at what price they started selling at? And will they go back to that price? Or are they doomed to stay there for the next several months?

I heard someplace they were intended to sell around $200 - $250? Or did I misread something? There is also the 256MB version which is available for around that, and if the GT card falls back to $250, then why would anyone but the 256MB version for $50 less? Wont the 256MB card price fall as well?

Anyway, any help is much appreciated, I jus wanna get an 8800GT card from someplace at a decent price.

They started selling low, below 250$. And recently, dell.com was selling them for as low as 208$. The huge demand has increased the price though.

They will fall in price once the new 9000 cards come out in January or February, which will likely cause a decrease in demand. Then they should go back down to 250$.
