Yeah the manufacuture does not make much of a difference except for warranties and the bundled software that comes with it.

same here i would reccomend evga

I would love to get the evga one. I wish Best Buy carried evga here, so I could use my gift cards to get an evga one. But, looks like I'm goin with BFG since I can get it real cheap with my cards. I keep reading bad things about the 8800gt and heat issues. People sayin the heat sink just spreads heat along the card and really doesn't displace it. Anyone using an after market cooler that they can suggest thats not water cooled?

hahaa yeah anyway do you have a source for your thoughts of their green tiny alpha dogs?

:D

Haha no, just playing around :)

On topic:

I currently own a BFG card and it has worked really well, I've had it for a little over a year now, and it hasn't given me any problems. Although I think it would be the same with any brand, IDK. :rolleyes:

Hey thanks for all the replies. I'm starting to think my HP (see sig) computer is not going to be worth upgrading because of the cheaply made parts(cheap power supply,mother board,etc). I might build a new rig from scratch. I would use it for gaming mostly. I would put about $2000-$3000 into a new one. If you could give me some tips (where to buy,product reviews) on building a new gaming rig that would be awsome. (FYI I don't know to much about building computers).
Also can someone make a checklist of the components I need to build a computer (RAM,graphics card,etc).

wow. 2000-3000?

you could get a great one for just 2000.

you in the US?

also, if i were you i would post a new thread in the desktop computers section;

say what you need and how much you will spend.

you will get more opinions that way.
