8800gts worth the upgrade from 7600gt ?

I have what u call minimum, but only on the limit, also Amps: i have 20A on this one and i need 26A for my 8800...

Lol you brought my thread back to life. Anyway while it back up the list i just want to say : will 8800 gts be good for running flight simulator x on high settings ?

which 8800 is it ? because 8800 gtx and 8800gts are totaly different.

only have to read siganture. It's not totally different, a 8800gtx have almost the same core clock and memory soeed as a 8800gts superclocked, the 8800GTX have more memory for sure, but u never need memory when u are not playing in high resolution...

for flight simulator, look at this: http://www23.tomshardware.com/graphics_2007.html?modelx=33&model1=706&model2=778&chart=291 the difference between a 8800GTX and a 8800GTS 320(not ever superclocked) is 0.2 FPS

I had a 7600gt too! I just upgraded to the 8800gts about a week ago. My main reason, was to be able to play flight simulator x on max settings. I'm running it right now on max settings. I get a little hesitation here and there while on a highly detailed location (like NYC), but nothing major.. alot better than my other card :)

yeah i hope i'll have what i'm hping to have with this card...

Not sure yet if i buy my AMD 5600 or wait like till november and buy a new mobo with a e6750.

Thanks crazyeh :D that should boost my confidence in the 8800gts.
robby you should get the amd 6000+ like me but i going have to save up for it.
Am getting the 8800gts during crimbo and 2gb of ram.

I'd go with a good quality 600W then. That system will be the bizz once you've completed it, as long as you don't take too long to do so ;)

my 8800gts is already ordered and i already have 2gb ram, since i'm doing some 3dmodeling (3dsmax 9) ,i'd like a c2d, it'll probably help me when i render, because actually, when i render something, it takes 100% or my CPU and i cant do anything else...
