Before proceeding.....

Re-configure Windows Explorer to Show Hidden Files & Folders.
Ensure you're familiar with restarting in Safe Mode.


Reboot into SAFE MODE now please.

Scan with HijackThis and place a checkmark in the boxes before the following entries:-

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [nebyzkdm.exe] C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\nebyzkdm.exe

Close all other windows except HijackThis and click the "Fix Checked" button.


Next, search for the following file in bold using Windows Explorer:

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\nebyzkdm.exe

*Once found, right click and select delete.


Restart the machine and post a fresh HJT log please.


* Leave the 09 and 023's highlighted above. If you search for the files which are supposedly missing, you may well find them. HijackThis often makes a mistake when reporting those particular entries. If the Symantec entries are indeed missing, you should reinstall Norton but we'll deal with that later if necessary.

If it's malicious it goes regardless but if it's a legit entry, it's always best to ask first. It doesn't really matter much for the 09's because they're only additional options which appear in IE's Tools menu but the 023's are running Services so you don't want to be disabling any of them unnecessarily.
