8mb vs 16mb

I'm still looking for a page that reveals the fallacy of believing that cache actually matters. I'll find it sooner or later.

If you look at the majority of the drives, there are no 16M drives at the lower end of the table just as there are no 2M at the top :P I never said it was a SURE sign of the performace, but it does help with most drive. Hehe, and we can't forget the Raptors and their 8M cache :rolleyes: Do the 150GB have 16MB or are they still 8MB?
 
All of the 16MB drives are at the lower end of that table, actually.

It's not the Raptor's 8MB of cache that is giving them their performance. I have one in this antique box of screws. It's their spindle speed that is giving them their edge.
