900$ laptop build

So I need a laptop and I have to keep it under 900$ with the OS, windows 7 home, tax shipping everything, has to be under 900$.

Only restrictions, it has to have a webcam, and hd size doesnt need to be bigger than 500 maybe 750g, no ssd i want to put all the money into the processer and graphics card. Other than that I am looking for sheer performance because I am hoping to play battlefield 3.

Any suggestions? the hp pavallion looks interesting. thoughts?

yeaaahh it really does need to be a laptop. I already have a desktop that I just built. My old laptop just cratered and now I am need something on the go.

I am just trying to find something with the most power for a cheapish price.

right now I am looking at an hp pavillion 15.6" with an i7 2630qm and a nvidia 540 for 850.

Notebookcheck.com tells me with that 540 ill get 30-35fps on bf3 on low.
 
On the GT 540M you will be be able to play BF3 for sure, but only at 1366X768 resolution and other settings at low/medium. Any mobile quad core i7 will handle the latest games.
Make sure you avoid HP, Acer for gaming. They do not have good build quality like Asus, Toshiba.
 
To be fair, especially with bf3. a better gpu will benefit more than a better cpu.

Especially if the resolution is higher than say 1366x768. I mean i have a very weak core 2 duo, and have little trouble running at 1080.

I would say for what he wants, hes better getting a better gpu and sacrificing some cpu power.
