They are pretty even... I personally like the 9600GT...

okay new question. should i return my mobo and get a new one or will it run on satifying settings with what i have. check my signature for specs. i want to buy the MSI 512mb 9600GT. if i want i can return the motherboard, power supply, and some other stuff for money and buy the p35 mobo too. also a 500W instead of the 400. heres my PSU, the requirements for the 9600 are a 25amp 12v rail. should i get a new one?

9600gt is made to run in sli, if you have 2 then your doing great, but alone with that card. dont expect tremendous results.

9600GT is equal to the 8800GS at low resolutions, its lead grows the higher the res. compared to the 8800GS.
Your MoBo is fine but you need a new PSU.

No, the 9600 was not meant to compare with the 8600's... The 8600's suck...
It said 30.... And at 1920x1200, that's pretty good
