9800 gtx+ oc and monitor

ok i asked this before but i didnt get a good answer.

Will my 9800 GTX+ OC 1gb and e8500 @ 3.16 gHz play MW 2 on a 1920X1080 23 inch monitor at 60 fps or more? at extra settings? could you give some predictions?

I'd say it could play it at 60/80 percent full settings and get those framerates. 60 fps is pretty high though. I'd put the settings as high as I could until I got an avg of 40fps or lower.

It probably can't, that's a really high resolution for a last generation card.

how big of a jump is 1280X1024 to 1920X1080 what is the usual drop in FPS? for most people?

There's a rather large difference in fps in resolution, usually around a 30% drop.

The jump is 800 or something extra pixels added on that it is has to render. I'm not sure what they drop in FPS would be but it will go down...

meh whatever happens ill probably buy another 9800 GTX+ OC because i hear they are monsters when runnin DUAL SLI. so thanks for the input guys

ok im reviving this thread to tell peeps that on 1920X1080 my BFG 9800 GTX+ OC runs all my games on full settings with only about a 9% decrease

on COD 4 i was at 91 fps on 1280 X 1024
with 1920X1080 it runs at 80 fps

GO 9800 GTX+ BEST card for money IMHO
