GeForce 9800 GX2
On January 4, 2008, hardware websites [H]ard|OCP and Tom's Hardware have posted images of what is thought to be the GeForce 9800 GX2. The 9800 GX2 is speculated to have the following specifications:
* Two PCBs, similar to the GeForce 7950GX2, The 9800 GX2 Card includes two PCBs with a NVIDIA 8800 Series GPU on each board.
* Over 250 W power consumption
* Two 65nm process GPUs, with 256 total Stream Processors (128 per PCB)
* 30% to 50% faster than the GeForce 8800 Ultra.
* Supports Quad SLI.
* 1 GiB (512 MiB per PCB) memory framebuffer, possibly up to 2 GiB (1 GiB per PCB)
* Will support DirectX 10.1, Shader Model 4, OpenGL 2.1, and PCI-Express 2.0.
* Outputs include two DVI ports, an HDMI output, and an Optical SPDIF audio-in connector for routing audio through the HDMI cable
* An 8-pin and a 6-pin power connector
* 600 MHz core clock
* 1.5 GHz Shader clock
* 2.0 GHz memory clock
* 256-bit memory interface
* 128 GB/s memory bandwidth
* Expected release date: March 2008
