9800GT over heating

hello ... i have my 9800GT currently clocked at gpu: 625mhz and memory: 900 mhz and during gameplay i get my gpu getting over 80*C
is that ok?
do i need more fans?
do i need to under clock it?

80*C is fine... Just watch out for temperatures 100*C+

yeah that temp is quite hot though,my 8800GT rus 41c and sometimes even 39c IDLE depending on how hot my room is.

i reccomend you replace the cooler with a better one and then overclock that baby even more

Get that dust out of the copper heatsink on your cooler.

i keep my 3850 under 65C by using rivatuner. it lets u adjust the fan settings on ur GPU. My GPU also went over 80C until i used rivatuner and set the fan at 70%.

That's still pretty hot. Mine never goes pass 63 C under load and the fan speed is around 35%.

It idles at 45 C right now.
