9800GTX+ questions

Hi

So im going to buy an XFX9800GTX+ and need to know a few things before laying down the hard earned quid to some greasy creep at the local pc store.

At the present i have my EN9600GT and am running it no problem on my system. My main concern is my 550W Generic PSU. Will this card run okay? Furthermore it is a step up from mine is it not?

Is this card a beast or an silicone abomonation?

If anyone can please leave some comments on my soon to be card please do.

It's a good card. I'm running an EVGA SC model. We need to know the amount of amps supplied from the +12V rail. You can find this info on the PSU. According to the info provided on my EVGA retail box, this card requires a minimum of 450W with 24 amps on the +12V rail.

You mean install? Yes, it's easy. Did you check the +12V rating on your current PSU? 24 amps is a relatively small requirement.
