9800GX2 and the future

i have a friend who has 2 4870's and he says they re amazing at high resolutions they beet the gtx 280

i am just replying to you request in another topic

the 4870x2 will well worth waiting for it will be better performance then the gtx 280 and better then 2 4870's as they are on a single card

the 4870x2 will last for a long time in future games as far 2 cry on be hard to process so it will be awhile for a game to come along like another crysis hard ware demon

i will buy your 9800gx2 if you are going to buy a new card or if your gonna sell it for future cards

I will be selling for future cards, do you have a price in mind?

A couple months are not going to revolutionize the gaming industry. Keep the card, save the headache of selling it and looking for a new one. Think about maybe getting a new card next winter when we have a better read on what is coming for 2009. That card will play everything out there pretty decent.

exactly what i said...theres no point whatsoever selling it

heck i wouldnt even bother selling my 8800GT and buying a 9800gx2,i know it would whoop its ass but that sort of power just isnt needed atm and wont be for quite a while yet.

It's not a question of whether or not the card will be okay. It's mainly about whether the OP is willing to sell and rebuy but save money/get better card.
