so i read a magazine a little while ago and there was a questions and answer page to it and one question was something like

how can i back up all my important data without losing it

and the answer from this lady was something like

i have a small 4gb hdd that even if it failed i still can retrieve the data like bills, important docs etc

anyone ever heard anything like this before or know of the hdd?

Thanks :D

thanks man! checking these and looking for a place in the uk that sells em :)

Thanks :)

There are many computer websites within the UK that sell these products such as the following:

http://www.overclockers.co.uk
http://www.ebuyer.co.uk
http://www.komplett.co.uk
http://www.dabs.com

Or you can purchase them from shops such as PC World, Maplins etc :). Very handy little things to have. Mine has proven a life saver in the past, especially since I stopped touching floppies entirely a few years ago. Just be sure to go with a fairly well known brand name at a decent price flash drive. As the unbranded extremely cheap ones often lead to failures / issues real early on.

Breaks.

Flash drives are awesome. Who uses floppies these days? I took the floppy drive out of my computer.

haha.....I left mine in, friends and family are all the time ordering computers that they expect to have a floppy installed and they don't. Guess who converts crap to CD's?

I still have a USB floppy disk drive, so if I REALLY REALLY have to use it, I can always dust that off and use that, but my internal is long gone.
