I've been rumaging through AM2 motherboard for a semprn 64 but all the compatibilities are with sempron and not sempron 64... uhh huh? does that mean only sempron processors can be installed not the sempron 64? or is it one and them same and either can be.
Every board from a Socket 754 up runs a 64bit cpu at this time. The last strictly 32bit board for AMD was the Socket A(462) model boards. You have to go by socket type not bit type when looking over cpus now. Here's the Semprom AM2 models seen at http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...6&Submit=ENE&Manufactory=1028&SubCategory=343
There are no Socket 939 Semprons. They are either Socket 754 or Socket AM2 models.
