A bit of an odd question, but hopefully you guys can help me.

I plan on building a computer fully submerged in mineral oil in the next couple weeks. I don't need help with building it or anything, but I do need a pliable, waterproof, non-conductive material. I need something to plug or seal any unused PCI slots on my motherboard. That way, if I want to install a USB 3.0 controller card or something later on, I won't have to spend a ton of time trying to clean the mineral oil out of the port. I was thinking of using silicone caulk, but I would need some kind of medium between that and my motherboard so it could be easily removed. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Don't bother, the mineral oil will seep in anyway.
The PCI slots are not liquid proof from underneath, the usb ports will seep from the backside and when you plug something into them the mineral oil will seep in anyway.

You shouldn't have to clean the oil out to plug those items in.
Plugging them in will push the oil out.

Hmm I never thought of oil getting in from underneath.

Will the pins be tight enough to force all of the oil out? I'm just worried about some residual oil interfering with any data being transferred.
