Been vacationing at Taiwan, bought some of their stuff:

A DATA 512 MB DDR400 RAM for 1399Yen (around 33 yen it a US dollar)... I have never heard ofA Data, are they to be trusted? And it says that it has lifetime warranty... is it REALLY lifetime?

Never heard of them either. Generally i don't buy not known brand name RAM. If it works you don't have a problem i suppose, but Good brand name would probably give better performance.

Not sure about the warranty. It can be very annoying particularly if they are a Taiwanese brand. Make sure the warranty is international!! A lot of places honor it if it is being claimed internationally.

Umm... let's just say that I'm somehow related with Taiwan... And I hope you mean China made items... man 128MB Nvidia video card literally melted when doing maplestory...

A-Data is a well known, and reputable brand on Newegg. Their RAM gets great reviews, and it's known as a good mid-ranged type of RAM.

If it aint broke you're not trying :P

I agree, A-Data is fine. It's not necessarily something you'd want to put into a highend gaming machine but it isn't garbage either.
