Hi,

Im planning on making a pc in a mini case and have a few questions to ask.

1) One of the cases motherboard is for intel processor which is a 478 socket. Am i right that this is a rather old type of intel socket also it has a external bus of 533/800, what does this mean and is it alright, i dont want a superfast pc and i want around a 3.0 speed processor

2)On a differnt mini motherboard all it says is that it is a socket 754, does this mean its for AMD only and if so what ones can i use i want the same sort of speed as written in the other question?

478 is not very old
and it's perfect for your needs
the bus speed of 533\800 is right
it just tells you it supports processors with this bus
you can get Pentium 4 processor and use it with this board
