A good virus subscription?

I recently dumped AOL for a number of reasons and am now using Verizon DSL for an ISP.

Aol came with Mcafee virus protection (which I no longer have) and I am looking into something that I can subscribe to and pay monthly (although annually would be fine too) that will be automatically updated regularly.

I need to protect 2 computers at once.

Any suggestions?
 
Norton or TrendMicro or PCcillin, if you really want to shell out cash.
Avast! or AVG if you want to go the free route.
