I'm in the process of designing a new PC for myself and ive come to a halt on what CPU will suit my needs better, ive got it down to 3 possibilities :-

Intel i7 2600 3.4GHz LGA1155 Processor
Intel i7 960 3.2GHz LGA1366 Processor
AMD Phenom II X6 1100T Black Edition AM3 Processor

I will be using it on a 40" tv for watch DVD/Blue-rays and streaming of shows also up to date gaming so i want it to be able to handle it.
The price difference in these are all in my price range but the more i can save on this the better the graphics card i can afford.

2600k, however if you can wait until September, I would see what Bulldozer (AMD's new line of processors) has to offer, and whether you could get anything better for the price. With computers you can always wait for the "next big thing" because of the rate of innovation, however with something this close, it would be worth the wait if you are able to

yeh i would hold on but i have no PC as the old one died spectacually so im on my macbook pro, which is good but i cant play much other than wow really

well by the time bd's out sb-e will be coming out soon then ivy, and if you can afford them that's good but you could make due with a 2500k and then you could afford a great gpu or sli/crossfire, but for bulldozer, u could get the mobo and all now and throw a athlon ii x2 250 3ghz for the next month or 2 since bd is am3+ and will accept it since that's only 60 on newegg
