A look at how expensive video cards are in Australia...

linkin, as previously stated, there are certain physical, economic, and geographic barriers which cause this. We've just got to deal with it.

Just be glad Australia did so well during the worst of the recession, remember we have a lot of things other countries don't.
Like Kangaroos and Dingo Babies :D

$2380 for this rig almost a month ago i was probally looking between $1500-$2000 if i was to go on a holiday to the US and brought the hardware back. Damn Yanks.

UK is quite bad as well. The prices of old components are not dropping at all. Like GTX 260 is as expensive as it was before introduction of 4xx series. Same with old Quads, like Q9400, prices haven't dropped since ix series.

OMG kill it, kill it with FIRE! I do not like Spiders but have a history with them. I got bit in my sleep once by a very venomous spider, luckily for me the venom was weak because I didn't go the doctor until like months after I got bit. It was from a brown recluse, and I have a necrosis scar on my calf from it.

That's a huntsman spider. It is big but harmless. a bite from one of those will leave you with a little red bitemark and maybe a little sick in the stomach for a couple of hours.

And i ended up killing it with a shoe :P

In India, its not too high though... lets say 260GTX costs around 200 USD on newegg...Here it is 11300 INR which converts to 250 USD...the price depends on the market demand I guess...here almost all graphics cards companies have their distributors...

That is what you get for living on a Island :P

Though the prices are not as bad as I thought they would be...I heard you guys usually pay 2x the US price for the cards fresh in the market.
