A look back, see if you can name this game

I played a demo of some game when I was a young teen where you were on a planet that is not earth. You wore a full metal space suit and had a jetpack where you could jump/fly with. You had some sort of gun where you shot lazers not bullets. You also had mines, one of the demo missions was to blow up certian moutains on different ledges on this planet.

It was on a Windows 95 or 98 system. I'm sorry I dont have any more information, but I thought maybe someone here may know!

If it helps, you had a team of people with you, at least in the demo, you were part of a team. But it was one of those useless teams where they just shoot and hardly hit the target lol and you had to do the real work.
 
My memory from back then is pretty fuzzy, and all the games I played seem to all fall into the same general description of the game you desribed, lol.

Haha at least in rainbow 6 and such for Ps2 you can command them to do alot more things than you could in this Windows 95/98 game.

Ohhh the initial screen shots I've seen look so familar loking for more, it may have not been a 3rd person view, I think it may be tribes, you're pretty damn good!!!!!! I'll let you know once i look at a few more
 
On the 2nd mission of the demo, you're on a very earth looking island and have to blow up some building I belive. The information is slowly slowly back to me lol

No problem. When I heard "Jetpacks" I thought "Wait a minute, I played Tribes Vengeance...didnt they have jetpacks?" And so I took a shot in the dark, turns out I was right.

Personaly I didnt really like Tribes Vengeance, it has a very confusing story line. But as far as I know, arnt the creaters of Tribes comming out with another game? Im not sure if its another Tribes game though...
