I have a dell dimention 4600, got it this fall. I have ati radeon 9600, ati remote tv, my already built in sound card, and i bought another sound card that has a video output (so i can hook up my playstation). Now, I believe that audio card is malfuntioning (I could no longer hear my tv or my playstion-- in the meantime, when i played playstation, i had to redirect the sound cord from the tv tuner, into the video card--so i could hear my playstation) so we reinstalled the ati tv tuner, dislogged the store bought sound card, and connected the cord into the built in soundcard--the tv sound is now working again.
now, what i need help with.
in my built in sound card, there is no video adaptor, so there is no way to hook up my playstation so recieve video signal OR sound. Hence, is there a usb cable or something that I could purchase to hook up my playstation?
The store bought soundcard is disconnected, and we dont want to reconnect it because it is malfucntioning. the tv is now working fine, finally. but i just want to hook up my playstation.
on the avti remote tv wonder, if any of you are familiar with it, there is a button that toggles with a video and tv connector. so i need to somehow get it to read that there is a video input somewhere where my ps2 is hooked up. but there is no video input anywhere built into my computer (it was on the malfunctioning video card). so what should I do. what can i get.
do i need a new sound card with another built in video adaptor? or is there a usb I can use???
i could use all the help i can get.
