anyone has anything better?? Imma be playing alot of F.E.A.R, Call of Duty, The NFS series, Sims 2, and RPG games....

An $800 budget for the tower alone can build you a great gaming PC, but when you include the monitor, gaming keyboard, etc. it becomes pretty hard to fit a nice GPU/CPU in the budget. Does price include OS? If yes you can probably get a 8600GT and AMD X2 3800. I'll whip up some specs.

This is an AMD build, but thinking about it you can build a Intel one for slightly more with an E2160 CPU and a P31 MoBo and get about equal performance with better upgradability at the moment, it's up to you.

Comes out to just over $800 after taxes and shipping for me, if you don't need Vista that saves you $110 and if you don't include taxes and shipping in the price that's another $80.

If you don't include tax and shipping or OS in your budget you can fit a avery nice keyboard and mouse in there, otherwise you'd have to cut the components down even more.

Hello! :)

Ok, let me give it a try. With $800 budget this is really as far as cheap as it can get if you want to include monitor/keyboard/mouse and want to play those kind of games:

Optical Drive

TOTAL w/ Shipping: $860

Thats about the best I could do with quality parts. If you want even cheaper, get cheaper RAM, a Micro-ATX mobo or even smaller GPU.

Hope you like it! :D

***EDIT*** I forgot the OS, so if you want it add about $100 more for Vista Home Premium...

Wait.... Your parts add up to $1000 but we only get a $800 budget?

He never stated if he needed Vista or included tax and shipping in the price so I assumed he didn't include tax...most people don't. Without tax & shipping that system came to $720 so I'm sure $80 is plenty for a nice keyboard and mouse. Plus, the 8600GT comes with a $20 rebate.

So parts add up to $800 with Vista, tax and shipping, but excluding keyboard and mouse.

I don't need any OS, as in XP Pro i have the CD and key, and XP plays games better for the moment..... and i wouldn't get Vista unless i have 3gig or more ram..

I like this build, but imma go check out any other... but i love it.. just i wonder how fast is the CPU... but i'm liking it alot... also how about a CPU cooler, imma OC the CPU, and i don't see any Keyboard and Mice with the build... Thank you

The cooler comes with all retail CPU's...keep that in mind, if it says OEM and not retail that means you have to buy the cooler yourself. That's why I chose the X2 4000 over the X2 3800...the 3800 is OEM on newegg and thus the lower price is defeated by the fact you have to buy a >$10 cooler in the end anyway.

Ok, so what do you think of my build?

I Like your build but it exceedes the 800 dollars, the reason i can't pass 800 is because i'm using my own money to purchase the set up, my dad and mom arn't kicking in any money... i sold my current setup for 800 so i wans another back that better for 800
