A really bad idea, or just a bad idea?

So, I recently got this laptop and it is great. Plays Crysis on medium at around 20 fps. When playing games it's internal temp reaches up to 85 Celsius (only when everything is working at max load for more that 2 minutes) , which I think is pretty hot, when just surfing the web it stays around 70 degrees C.

Sooo, despite the high temps I was thinking about overclocking the cpu(AMD turion x2 RM-75) and gpu(ATI HD 4570, 512 mb memory) it a little to get faster performance. I figure that I would only use the overclocked settings when it was sitting on my desk, so the ventilation won't be blocked. So, how bad of an idea is this, should I attempt it, should I wait to try it until I have to have the extra performance boost to play any games? Or should I forget about this idea forever?
