I am looking into getting ssd to have windows and some other important programs on. I read a lot of reviews and see that alot of the ssd are prone to crashing, etc. What is a good ssd drive that maybe you have owned yourself that u find very good or heard about others? Im looking for 120GB size. Any help appreciated!

Corsair, Crucial, OCZ, and Intel are all good SSDs. All brands have some that crash due to a bad hard drive, but this is expected.

The crashing happened due to drives literally being too fast for the OS, data was arriving before the OS asked for it, and caused collisions. This has been for the most part fixed in most firmwares by all leading manufacturers.

Stay away from OCZ. Some models might be OK, but we had TONS of issues with the Vertex 2. Crucial and Intel are my top picks right now. I'm also (amazingly enough) very happy with my Sandisk.

One consideration though...whatever brand you go with, do your research on how to maintain it! Limit the read/write cycles, don't defrag it, etc... Even the best SSDs can die prematurely if not properly maintained.
