A virus has locked me out of my computer

A Virus has locked me out of my Computer.

Just browsing the web. I clicked on a shortcut on a page and AVG popped up with a box say 2 Trojans had been detected before I could take any action my desktop disappeared leaving it blue with a box saying, if I want to unlock my Pc I needed to in put my card details.

When I reboot I get my desktop back for a few sec them back to blue with popup box the same happens with safety mod too, with or with out internet connection

It seams to halt on the line dealing with avg ***** and Blue screen of death.

Any one know how to get out of this one.:(
 
When I reboot in safety mode it halt on the line dealing with AVGIDSEH.SYS and Blue screen of death.

the MS web site say:

Boot-Sector Viruses
You may receive a "Stop 0x0000007B" error message if your computer is infected with a boot-sector virus. If the problem is intermittent and you can start Windows, check your computer for viruses. If you find a virus, also check any floppy disks for viruses before you use them again.


Any thoughts on how to get back normal.
