Good thing you caught on but never force the CPU to fit in the socket. If they don't go in easy something's not right.

Yeah, normally they just drop in the socket.
Absolutely! What I could not figure out was why when I tilted the APU that the pins would go into the socket, but when I tried to put it in flat it would not. Then I saw those little plastic nobs were no matching up and that is when I took a real close look on the MB. And what annoys me is that the box had nothing on it that it was a FM1 socket.
