Can somebody tell me is it better to get the same notebook fitted with an a64 2.4ghz 3700+ or a turion 1.8,is there a big differnce in performance and battery life ?
both are abouut the same price

you'll get better battery life with the turion. turion is amd's mobile processor. i have used one and they are fast. ofcourse the amd 64 is going to be faster but at the expensive of battery life.

i have a turion ml-28 (1.6Ghz) with ati radeon express 200m graphics, and i havent found a game that i cant run yet, battery lasts for about 3 hrs

I'd go turon since the battery, and you won't really notice a difference in preformance.

depends on what you'll be doing with the laptop. if you do any cpu instensive tasks, then ofcourse the a64 will dominate. however for portability reasons (battery life), the turion will be much more efficient. at normal cpu usage levels the turion gets better battery life than the pentium M.
