i am so frustrated right now... This is my system:

Gigabyte ep45 ud3p "mobo"
e8500 no overclock
Sapphire 4870 1gb no overclock ccc 8.10
8gb gskill pc6400 @ 800mHz
regular HDD, nothing special
Vista Home Premium

My issue is that large parts of the landscape is either blu or red. And not blu and red that melts into the landscape, but EXTREME blu and red, look ridiculous! what gives? Is there a settign that I have forgot to set?

And second, sometimes when I encounter certain areas, a HUGE black square pops up and I cant see anything. the square seems to be set at a certain location, because when I back up it disappears... any ideas anyone?

damn frustrated right now...

What kind of PSU do you have? That GPU requires AT MINIMUM a 500-watt PSU, and not some random no-name brand one either. You need a good stable power supply with enough amps on the 12v rail.

There might be other reasons, but that's the only one I can think of right now, especially because you didn't provide this info.

Does it only happen during Far Cry 2? Is that the most graphic intensive game you play? It may be possible that the card itself is a dud and you need to return it, but I want to know about the PSU first.

My PSU is a rosewill 750 watt, it is a crossfore ready psu, so i assume it should be able to run the gpu with no problems. That is the only heavy graphics game I use at the moment.

But thanx, i will look and see if I can get all uppdates and stuff

There is a patch 1.01 that should be installed.

It's the German Ubisoft website but it's where I got mine, installed it and everything works fine. I live in Germany and it takes forever to download anything from the States. Depending on where you live check the Ubisoft website from your neck of the woods.
