1) How is that for a MOBO?
2) WIth this MOBO do I need a sound card or will this provide good enough sound? With this Pc for audio I am basicaly wanting to watch movies/tv, listen to music, and occasionaly play games.

it has onboard sound from what i can see, if ur worried about playing games, its the video card u should be concerned about.

I guess I did not make myself understood. I menat to ask would you recommend saving money and using the onboard audio card or would it be alot more beneficial and noticeable going with a seperate sound card like the ones I posted above?

Unless you are really concerned with how well the computer and speakers reproduce the sound, I would say that you are a-ok with that motherboard... If you are concerned, then make sure that when you get a sound card you get a decent set of speakers. As I'm sure that you're already aware, an awesome sound card is NOTHING without some speakers that can actually use and properly produce the crisp and clean sound that would come from a separate sound card.

So the onboard sound will be fine for game play, movies, music, etc... I would not notice a big difference with one of these sound card instead Creative Lab Sound Blaster Live! 24-bit 7.1 or Creative Lab Sound Blaster Audigy-2 ZS 7.1 ?

u would notice an enormous difference if u had good speakers that supported 7.1 audio as stated above.

think of it like having a spankin new nVidia 7800gtx video card while using an apple black and green monitor.

The onboard sound on the 900 chipsets is fairly good, I wouldn't call it audigy quality but it's up there.

good luck finding anything that is 7.1 compatiable...i would say dont worry about it unless you esentially want 7.1 stereo (which sounds like garbage). But they are right about the speakers...a sound card can only be as good as whats hooked up to it

Finding 7.1 speakers isnt all that hard (quality aside) ... but finding 7.1 compatible speakers is bloody easy ... i.e., every single speaker is pretty much 7.1 compatible
