About dell 1501 video card and TV connection

Hello, my question is how can i connect my video card with my TV. My video card is ati 256MB 1150 model. I connected it but on the card in the little window i dont see the TV i have a computer too and i have at 256MB on it and when i plug it i see the little TV and i connect it but with the laptop it's not working can somebody tell me why or explain me how to connect it i might be doing something wrong if is not working. Thank you

Do you have a FN button on your keyboard? With dell you have to press FN and 1 of the F buttons which has CRT/TFT on it or something similar.
