About game servers!

Well , i have thinked about this problem for 2 months and havent figured out how i can make a server for a game.(counter-strike) (shaiya)Ive got all teh files and tutorials! But is it even possible to make a private server with Local Area Conncetion 2 and im also sharin the internet but the router isnt in my home! I KNOW MY ENGLISH IS BAD! I really hope i get a good tutorial from here to make server for cs 1.6 or shaiya (MMORPG game)! PLEASE HELP WHIT THESE QUESTIONS IM ONLY 13 YEARS OLD , AND REPAIRED 13 COMPUTERS TOO!

Well you need to buy a server (as in an adress where you can host the server) and then a computer to use as the server (needs to be fairly powerful to have lots of people playing on it)

So server computers ofr source games... for multiplayer i'd suggest a decent dual core, as much ram as possible and a nice GPU as well as a fast internet connection.

You can use VPS Hosting.
Its cheaper than a Gameserver and you get full controle over it.

I use to run a CoD4 server on a cheap host and it worked fine!
