About integrated graphics chip

There a Intel processors with integrated graphics like HD3000, HD4000. The question is, if have a dedicated graphic card do i need to go for this type of processors?

You can still use those processors, it's just when you put your card in, the onboard graphics will be disabled.

The new generation processors, amd fm1 socket & intel 1155 socket, having good integrated graphics, means it is not worth buying a dedicated graphics card unless you are a serious gamer or do alot of video editing.
