That is probably the cheapest you would find a component. Retail prices like Best Buy are way overpriced, but that's where you would be able to find the cheapest prices for a computer component.

Compared to E8400's from other stores, it is probably going to be the cheapest you will find it. Compared to other processors in that price range is another question.
