About to order, or should I wait?

Ok so I hit a dilemma. I really want my pc to be done and so I was going to order this

I was pretty set on that and i'm still fine with it if that's my only option, but would it be better to wait and get a better card? If I hold out till next month I could pick up this which I am not completely positive I need for the games i'll be playing. I'm also looking at 5970's and waiting to hear more on 6990- my original choice.

I know this isn't exactly a fair comparison to make, but should I just get the less expensive 6850 and be done with things? Or is it better to hang in there for the better card?

i'd say get the card that you really want
if that means waiting, then so be it.

also, i don' tknow about the 1090T you got there, but my Q9550 bottlenecked two 4870s in crossfire.
i went with a 6870 because i think it's the highest card my cpu will push.
find out what others with you cpu are running to get an idea where your bottleneck will be and go with the best card you can get and forget about it.

I currently have a 6850, and I'm thouroughly satisfied with it.

What kind of game do you plan on playing? As long as you don't play extremely demanding games, it should do just the trick. I can play Bad Company 2 on max settings and be running 60 fps most of the time.

Also you could always get another one later on, as they scale extremely well when overclocked.

I'd say his CPU is fine, especially if he'd just OC it a little bit. It may be a very small bottle neck on CPU intensive games, but not enough of a concern to warrant changing what card you're after.

Mostly emulation(including modern emulators which need beefy pc's), but some pc games too. Might check out some recent ones that my old cpu/video couldn't handle. Update: pulled the trigger on the Asus 6850, at that price it was too good an offer to pass up. Though I might return it if it is doa or bsod's like some "reviews" say.
