i have about 25 gigs of stuff that i need to back up but my recovery drive is only 10 gigs in size. how am i going to back up 25 gigs of stuff? do i need to buy an external hard drive?

its a bit unclear what you mean, do you want to backup windows or just personal files

what do you mean your recovery drive, do you mean a system recovery partion ?

i want to erase everything except my 25 gigs of itunes music. i have a separate 10g drive that is just for recovery.

Buy a external HDD or get some DVD's. I'd suggest a external, you should always back up your data every once in a while anyway, so might as well get a decently sized one, in my opinion.

I don't suppose Emd023 is much different than many PC owners - what is 25GB of iTunes worth and not backed up?

Well you could buy a small, portable hard drive. That's what I use when I'm on the go. Its more reliable than flash drives, more space, and lasts longer. I got the FreeAgent Go because it was 250GB (all I need on the go), it came with backup software, its slim and light, it also only requires the included USB cord for both power and data.

You could use a free online backup or buy DVD's like someone said. Or buy a cheap 50gb hardrive from somewhere.

Hope I helped;)
