AC '97 and cover plugs?

I went to plug in my AC '97 connecters and there is a plug on 4/10 of the Prongs... i was wondering if i disconnect them or leave them alone and dont plug in the connectors for them, here are some picutres:








the black in my photoshopped image is the 2 slots with the covers of them as u can see in the MB pic they are blue

You leave them plugged in if your using only the jacks on the motherboard. If your plugging pins into them, then you remove both of the jumpers.

what are the "blines and the lines" mean since they are the ones that are covered

Im not sure, but when i hooked up my front panel audio connector all i had to do was remove both of them and plug in the connector, since it was all one piece.
