ac cooling a computer?

just curious as how well this would work. running something like a flexible pipe from the vent where the ait comes out on an air conditioner to the side vent or some sort of vent on a computer case, it seems like it would be better thana fan cause the air you are pushing in is cold instead or room temperature.

well, it seems it would be ok...but perhaps the fast-cooling from the air conditioner might condense, making the electronic 'wet' and we all know that this would simply break your PC.
I woulb not really do it, if you can aford it, get a watter cooling system,

i wouldnt bother. it'll cool temps quite a bit but it may condense some water and zap some parts.
thats why they use insulation when messing around with vapochill.
maybe attach a de-humidifier to the tube as well, that way cold air is circulating and no water vapor.

I remeber some guy telling my to never try and get my case temp under room temp, because you will get condesnation. If you do do it, i would suggest protecting your circuits somehow.

Someone asked about this once(probably another forum...) Someone else there mentioned it would be fine as long as you stuck a box of baking soda in the case to keep the condesnation down. If you sealed the case up a good bit, you might even be able to stick one of these temp sensors that also tells the humitity to be sure it's within a resonable range.
