I have a wire coming labeled ac97 and i have no idea if i have to plug it in. Currently my computer is sitting in the middle of my room put together but i am still waiting on buying the cpu. O also r there any ways i can check if the computer will run without putting in the cpu?

It's for front panel audio. It's not required for the machine to run. If you have onboard audio, read your manual and it should show where to plug it in. Typically it's towards the rear by the audio output/audio chipset.

yea....plug it in and stuff...u will still be able to get into bios, i think. i think so because the bios is dependent on the mobo. and it should recognize the drives u ahve plugged in and stuff..
