Accer Laptops?

1. If you only want to spend 800, then there is only one choice, the first one.
2. The second one is better, but niether would be a very good gaming laptop.
3. PLEASE dont capatalize every word.
4. Accer=no. Acer=yes.

I've had two Acer laptops within the past 2 years. For the price they offer good specs and decent looks, but what i've found is that on their low-end and mid-ranged laptops, they use 4 Cell batteries which only last between 1-1.5 hours, which IMO is really bad. I dont know if you plan on using it away from an outlet much, but if you do, I would go with something with a better battery.

yeah for $800 you wouldnt be able to run games in high settings, maybe you should consider savin up a little mroe for something with am little better spec?

i have had two $3000 laptops and they struggled to play the most bottomline games so dont look to try and find a gaming pc in a laptop.. the guys in the shop will say it can play games until their gums bleed but all they want is your money.. if u want a laptop that plays games alienware are ur closest bet but they cost in excess of $3000 and even then get VERY hot after an hour or so of gaming..

that is the most blatant untruth. I have the base m9700 and I play all my games flawlessly, bf2142, STALKER, fear, C&C3. And the laptop dosent get hot at all, the only part the gets hot is the exhaust fan on the rear of the laptop. This laptop only cost 1700 so what 3000 dollar laptops are you buying?

You can buy a Dell Inspiron E1705 with a Core 2 Duo, 2GB of RAM, 5400RPM SATA HD, and a 7900GS for well under $2,000.
