Accessing a home network from the internet

Hi,
I'm running a home network, which is connected via ADSL to the internet. I'm looking for a way to access my network from the outside. This way, I'll be able to use my home pc for making powerpoint presentation while at work.
How can this be done?
Is there a detailed instruction source anywhere on the net?

My problem isn't the software, it's the connection. The network IP address is assigned by my ISP. It's a dynamic address. How can you connect to an unknown address?
In addition, my preferred method for establishing communication is the way I do it with my employer's network. I access this network using SOCKS and define a drive for each drive on my office pc.
