Accessing router settings

I have the IP, put it in the browser, it displays the correct router, but I don't know the name. I know the password, but it isn't recognizing any names. It's not default and I don't want to reset.

D-Link WBR 2310. Annoying.

I don't believe SSID and router admin name are the same thing, but if they are then that's another problem.

Default user is admin and the password field should be left blank.

If this doesnt work try your ISP as the username and the password as either "password" or "admin"

Hope you get in.

Thanks.

David.

It is not set to default. I have the password, but either the name isn't working or nobody knows it.

Then you will have to do a hard reset on the router to set everything back to default.

Now I'm trying to set up a static IP, but I can't get any of the settings to save. Put them all in, including DNS server, okay, immediately checked and it didn't save. Do you need to be on the computer the router is wired to?

You will need to do a hard reset if you don't the username and password, it's the only way to bypass it really, unless you hire an advanced hacker.
